Biography of AJ Michalka

Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka (born April 10 in 1991) commonly referred to simply AJ is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and musician. The model was in the past prior becoming an actress, and is known best as one half of duo Aly and AJ (formerly 78Violet) along with her sister Aly Michalka. AJ created "It's what you're made of" the music video and the song of the same name for Secretariat. In the film Grace Unplugged, she also released a single and a music video titled "All I've ever Needed". After two seasons as a regular character on ABC's sitcom The Goldbergs, she was promoted to a regular role on the show's third season. Michalka voices the character, Stevonnie in Steven Universe which is a fusion of the main character Steven and his closest friend Connie. She and her sister filmed an untitled drama at Laurel Canyon in California, July 2014. The film was written and directed by written by Aly's husband Stephen Ringer. Michalka, along with Ringer and her sister, was one of the producers and took part in the casting process. In May 2015 , it was announced that the film, Weepah Way for Now would be screened at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 16, 2015. In June of 2016 the film came out on DVD and iTunes.
