Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of producer, media mogul and musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is her elder sister. She also has five half-siblings derived from the other relationships her father had with his family. Her father is African-American and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant of refugees from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was educated in Reform Judaism. She grew up in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones claimed that her mixed-race parentage was not accepted by the public until the 1970s. Jones began her professional acting debut in The Last Don in 1997 an animated mini-series, which was influenced by Mario Puzo. Rashida was also a Harvard University graduate in 1997.
